Open Mouth, Insert Embarrassment

{Disclaimer: This is not meant to offend anyone. I just want to remember this story for when Parker is older.}

Let me set the scene.
We are about to leave Wal-mart.
I see a middle-eastern woman walk in, with FULL attire on...like this:
I immediately attempt to distract the kids so nothing embarrassing is said.
They have never seen people dressed like this and quite honestly, I was trying to avoid explaining it. I am a lazy person like that.

Parker turns his head and does a triple-take.
He stands up in the back of the shopping cart and stretches his arm out.
He points at the woman.
And he shouts "Look Mom!! Star Wars!!!"

I looked around as other people were smirking. I put my hand out and said "Sorry" to the lady. And then I explained to Parker that we don't point at people.
I explained: "Some people dress like that for their religion. We go to church for our religion."
{Lame attempt at explaining but it was what I came up with in the circumstances.}

In his defense, we were looking at Halloween costumes online this morning.
Star Wars was fresh in his mind.

Meanwhile, I haven't been so embarrassed by this child since the time he walked out naked in the gas station store.

That is so funny! I would have been embarrassed too, but I would have laughed when I got home!
