Thankful

Sometimes, I get caught up in what I want out of life and I complain.

I know we all do it, but I am striving to be more appreciative.

God has blessed our family with health and happiness, along with so many other things.

So, when it gets tough in this crazy baseball life, I think "Poor me. I wish we had this. Or lived like this. Or whatever."

At church last week, this was posted in the bulletin:

‎***Appreciate Everything***

Appreciate those who have hurt you, because they strengthen your heart.

Appreciate those who deceive you, because they improve your wisdom.

Appreciate those who abandon you, because they teach you independence.

Appreciate those who make you stumble, because they strengthen your legs.

Appreciate those who denounce you, because they remind you of your shortcomings.

And I realized that God is speaking directly to my heart.

So, I plan to work hard to be grateful for this wonderful life I have been given.

{Can you imagine being God and giving these fabulous gifts to people, who turn around and just complain about it all? I don't want to be like that.}

Won't you join me? Or help me...because I am sure to fall into the complaint trap again!

And show just how thankful I am!
