Valentine's Mailbox Tutorial

I just love these little mailboxes and how easily they were transformed into some real beauties!

I bought the mailboxes in the dollar bins at Target.

I also bought the scrapbook paper in those bins! $1 for 8 different sheets!
A great deal!!

I measured the width of the mailbox and cut my paper accordingly.

Then, I used my hot glue gun to secure the paper on the bottom.
{And I forgot to take all of the tag off...which doesn't matter, as the paper covers this up.}

And, I wrapped the paper around the top of the mailbox.

Then, I used my hole puncher to make a hole where the flag would go.

And I trimmed the hole so that the flag would fit.

Then, I hot glued this all down...and secured it underneath.

I decided to hot glue the back of the mailbox closed.

And, then cover it with paper.

And I used some ribbon to clean up the back seam...

The side looked boring, so I added an embellishment.

And wa-laa...

Then, I made 4 more...

We will be giving these to our wonderful teachers, with a special homemade treat inside.

Be on the look out for our homemade treat recipe...
