Halloween Candy

This was our first year in our neighborhood and I must say: What a FUN place to trick or treat!

According to everyone who has been here before, this year's Halloween was a bit quieter with the school night. And that seems unbelievable to me! There were so many kids out!
Kids at the door...happy that they didn't actually walk into this particular house or grab a GIANT handful of candy! I feel like I had to say at EACH house:
"Don't grab the candy. Hold your bag out for them to give it to you."
"Just knock once. Do not try to open the door yourself."
"Say Thank you."

(Our neighbor Brekon as a hobo...isn't he so cute?)

We started around 6:00 and by 7:00, Lily was finished! She went back with my mom to hand out candy and really had so much fun!

We took the boys to some streets further down and got back home around 8:30.

I can not get over how much candy they brought home!
We are going to figure out how much we will let them keep
and then we are going to donate the rest.

If you go to www.halloweencandybuyback.com , you can find a dentist in your area who will buy your candy from you for $1/per pound. The dentists are donating it to troops overseas.

We are going to let the kids keep the money they make from this.
And maybe I can keep my waist line! LOL

Fun times. A great looking Mario and Luigi. And im guessing Minnie, only cause our little girl was dressed as Snow WHite but demanded to be called Princes Peach
