"Um, Toto, I Don't Think We're in Kansas!"

We are safe after an actually uneventful night in our exact location in Oklahoma City.

But, as a lady not used to this tornado-sort of thing, it was scary to watch the news and hear the sirens warning of tornadoes. {Luckily, we only heard the sirens once over by us.}

I prepared accordingly though. I had a bag packed with clothing, food, diapers in case of a quick escape. I made the kids keep their shoes on for the same reason.

And, our friend Amanda came over with their cute dog Hobbes to weather the storm.

Willie was on the bus riding home from Iowa, when they had to pull over and wait. They didn't want to be driving into this thing.

Some people, were not so lucky. 6 people died and the wreckage south of us is intense.

Please include the people of Oklahoma in your prayers today, as they sort through the wreckage. We have, and will continue to do so.

Oh girl! I feel your pain/fear. Being from Texas, we get tornadoes but I'm convinced OK's are far worse and the fact that they have the sirens makes it more scary. As a child I used to not care or worry but now that I'm responsible for the 2 little people I've brought into this world...I'm terrified! It's a tough Spring/early Summer in OK. Hang in there!
