Minx?

I admit it.
I was minxed.
The Thursday before last, I went and had my toes done in minx fashion.

"What is minx", you ask?
Well from the Official Minx Website:

"Minx is a solid film with an adhesive back that is heat activated. The heat gives Minx the conformability to fit over the compound curves of nails and seals it onto the nail bed. Minx is brewed in North County, San Diego, California. The patent pending proprietary material Minx is made of can be easily removed with heat by either the manicurist or the client."

So, in regular people talk, they are stickers. Here is how mine looked on the day of:

So, I was informed from some ladies who have had this done that it lasts 4-6 weeks.
AMAZING!
And it costs $40, which is the same cost as a pedicure.
{I came to find out that the cost is simply the application of the stickers, no pedicure included.}
I rarely get pedicures because it frustrates me to no end that my toes chip the same day.
Or the next.
I guess if I didn't work out and didn't wear tennis shoes,
I could have nice toes.
So, 8 days later, here are my toes:
Ummmm, looks like something is missing? I have to peel them all off now so I don't look like a freak.
{I am not particular about many things but I would like my toes to match.}

4-6 weeks is obviously not right. So, I check the minx site this morning. Here is what it says:

"How long does Minx last?

It depends on several factors; the most important being proper application. The norm being 1-2 weeks. Minx does not chip, it may wear slightly at the free edge of the nails that are heavily used but will not wear any further."

So...I would do this again for a special occasion. But, not for the regular daily routines!

Have you been minxed? Are there any beauty ideas that you swear by?
I am interested in eyelash extensions..anyone have anything on that?
