August=School time around here!
Parker started last week.
I had him start earlier than Jackson so that he would have his own special "First Day."
Here he is under our tree in the front yard:
He is going to the same preschool he went to last year,
so that has been a great comfort to us all.
He loves it there.
And they love him.
Lily is just chomping at the bit to get in there and play with the kiddos.
(Not so fast little girl!)
And, as of this week...
Jackson is a kindergardener.
His first day was certainly a mix of emotions. He was EXCITED! And a little unsure.
I was very unsure, excited for him, and left feeling strange.
Sort of empty.
And I couldn't wait to pick him up at the car line...
Second day was tougher though.
I dropped him off at the curb where a teacher was there to open the car door and let him out.
Then, he walked to his class.
On His Own.
And I watched like a hover mother to make sure he went in the right direction.
We are getting the hang of our system here and adapting well to drop-offs and pick-ups
at 2 different schools.
And this little one will be staying home with mama, working on her puzzles.
Or maybe her modeling?
