Day of Learning

We went to the Science Museum on Monday. What a great place that is! We were there for 3 hours and could have stayed all day if Miss Lily wasn't begging for a nap.

We learned about being meteorologists:

With help from our "producer" Kristin:(One of the baseball wives)

We learned about teeth:

We learned about what is good to put in our bellies:
(I really wish you could see the sign above Parker better. It says "SmartMouth." How fitting!)

We sat on top of a bed of nails (Parker is holding the button to push the nails on his brother):

We painted our own faces:

We made phone calls:

And we spent the longest time in the building room...making this:

{Why do we buy them toys, again?}
It was a fun time!

Yesterday, I got a much needed break. The gym has Mother's Day Out from 12-3 and I took some time to spend in the silence. I haven't had a break in a LONG time. I walked around the craft stores and made a hair appointment for Thursday's Mother's Day Out time!

And Willie pitched last night, earning the save.

He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings.
1 walk
2 strike outs
0 hits
0 runs
His ERA is now 1.13
He comes back on Saturday!
(I know this has nothing to do with his pitching but I CAN'T wait!)

We frequented that dang place SO many times! Since there isn't much to do with kids our kids' age in OKC, we went there ALOT. Somedays we would just go upstairs to play in the gymnastics area on hot days! You'll probably go back a few times before the summer is over...if Willie doesn't get called up first! :)
