And So Our Trip Begins...

Let me tell you... traveling with 3 small people is ALOT of work and little sleep! We slept 5 hours on Christmas Eve, then flew on Christmas Day.

We checked into our hotel for the first night so we wouldn't have to drive up the snowy mountain in the dark. Only, the hotel made a mistake on our reservation. We got a suite...with ONE bed. For 4 bed-sleeping people.
And they were booked full. So, the boys camped out on the floor.
Lily slept in her pack and play.
And we got a whopping 4 hours of sleep!

Anyhow, it has been fun thus far!
I have some stories I want to tell before I forget them...

1. We got off of the plane in Salt Lake at 9 pm. It was 16 degrees. As walked up the jetway into the airport, Jackson started crying: "I want to go back to Florida. It's warm there."

2. When we got to the hotel, there was ALOT of snow on the ground! The kids couldn't wait to make snowballs. As we brought our luggage up, they ran over and made snowballs with their bare hands. Immediately, they began to cry and dropped the snow.
"It's cold, it's cold. Get it off of my hands!!"

3. In the hotel room, the boys were full of energy and we were tired. Parker went over to the side of the bed and knelt down and folded his hands.
He said: " Dear God, please help Jackson and me to behave. And God, please help Daddy with his patience."
LOL

4. Parker decided to get up on the fireplace at Grandma's house and sing a variety of songs for all that would listen. It was hysterical! He had 4 performances throughout our 3 hour visit!
{Now, I know how cute I really was when I would sing at family parties when I was younger!Ha! For those of you who were able to witness this: "You're welcome!" ;-)}
Now, for some more pics:

Jackson decided he liked the snow after all. He had to be forced inside after hours of playing in {and eating} the snow:
**Picture will not post..will come later!**
And Parker had a blast too!

Can't wait to go sledding today and maybe build a snowman on our back porch at the cabin!

The temperature is 7 degrees right now. High of 23.

Yay! You guys made it :) Sounds like it's already been a very memorable trip for everyone. Snow makes everything so magical for the little ones! As we were driving home from Emery County, I thought about you guys...so close but still so far away (especially when traveling with little ones). We would have loved to drop in and see you! HOPE YOU ENJOY UTAH!! Can't wait to see more pictures of your trip...
