It Won't Be Like This For Long

Dear God,

I pray that you give me patience. I pray that you give me wisdom.
I pray that you keep me sane as these boys drive me crazy.
I pray that you make me skinny...
(I just figured since I was praying for all of these other things that seem impossible...)

This about sums up how our Sunday afternoon went.
The boys seemed to be searching for trouble
and they found it..ALOT of it!

The morning was so great! They played together with the occasional argument but nothing major.

They ate lunch without complaints and went down for naps without so much as a peep.

Then, they woke up...

Parker went potty in the toilet and didn't wipe...and decided to slide down the stairs on his dirty bum. This made for a dirty carpet!

While I was cleaning up that, Jackson spilled water on Willie's computer.

Then, it appeared that we may get a little break, as the boys colored at the kitchen table while I unloaded the dishwasher. But, Parker was the typical little brother and did things just to bug Jackson, like touching his elbow.

Ever. So. Slightly.

Then, Jackson, in true pre-schooler way, tattled. And tattled. And tattled.

And the chain of events continued. And Willie became irritated. And I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. (I may have...not sure?)

And Dear, Sweet, Lily has learned a new trick.

She shrieks when she doesn't get her way, in a noise that sends chills up my back. Like nails on a chalkboard. But then she looks at me like this...

And I remember that those little boys are also so innocent and sweet...

Right? Maybe?

{Hard to feel that way now as Parker is having an absolute fit in his bed.}

But, it won't be like this for long...
