Our Flight, etc.

I realize that I haven't blogged since our flight and some of you may be wondering if I had, in fact, jumped off of the plane.
I did not.
I was busier than a flight attendant on that plane though! Keeping the kiddos occupied, happy, and as quiet as possible was no easy task.
Our day began with a call from the company picking us up from our house to take us to the airport. The man could not push 2000 on the gate code box.
This resulted in me having to leave my kids alone in the house while I ran up to the front gate with the remote to let him in.
I returned sweaty and gross from running in the 100 degree Texas heat ready for our day of flying.
I got the kids in the car while our driver attempted to fit all of our bags.
I am quite sure he was thrilled.
We got through security because some amazing man who worked there folded up my limo of a stroller and put it through the scanner.
Then, he unfolded it for me.
That is the first time anyone has ever helped me and I told him thank you a million times or so.
And I would like to stop this blog for a public service announcement.
If any of you delightful blog readers should ever be so lucky as to see a woman in the airport, sweating while pushing 100 pounds of children in a 40 pound stroller...do not stare.
Do not say to your traveling friend "Oh my gosh, there's 3 on there"
or
"She is crazy."
Do not point.
Perhaps, you could ask for help as many ladies did on our way down the ramp to the plane. The flight workers were not so kind, having me move from areas of waiting and having me leave my stroller at the desk rather than at the bottom of the ramp. But that is neither here nor there.
The kids were amazing on the flight, watching movies, talking quietly {even Parker} and behaving. Lily wanted to walk around and investigate the plane while flirting with passengers. I did not allow this, as I would have to leave my darling little men alone. So, Lily ate a pound of some cheerios.
Mom was there to greet us as we landed and we were so happy to see her. The humidity was just like I remember it. But, let's be honest, at this point, I was not winning any awards based upon my smell or appearance.
So, we are here at home.
Unpacking, going to school, swim lessons, and the gym.
Adapting to our new life.
And patiently waiting for Willie to come home on the fifth.

When Mike and I flew home we kept saying to each other "how did Rachel do all this with 3 kids?" WAY TO GO! Glad you made it home safe and we are still sad we missed you during our visit to Texas. Hope to see you soon!
