On Thursday, I met Jackson at school where they had a program and a tea party with the mamas!
I have to tell you that I was so excited to be able to go to this.
I bought a new dress and curled my hair. I got there 30 minutes early too!
(Of course, Lily spit up all over my dress on our way into his school! How perfect!)
So, I walked in to watch the program and as the kids filed into the auditorium and onto the stage, Jackson waved and shouted "Hi Mom!" I was so happy he was excited that I was there.
Now, Jackson has only been at school for 3 weeks and the rest of the children have been learning these songs for the entire school year.
So, I was excited to see him perform.
As the music began, he looked like he may cry.
Then he turned around so that he didn't have to look at the crowd. ;0)
When he did decide to turn back around again, he put his hands over his ears as his friends sang. Oh, Lovely!
I am so glad I got this on video!!
I do recall his last program at his school in Arizona, where he would not stand on the stage.
So, we have made some progress!
Then, we got to watch a slideshow together and have some tea and cookies! It was fun!
On Sunday, I had a great Mother's Day! It all began with Willie taking the boys downstairs so I could sleep a little longer. Now...if you know me, you know that I didn't go back to sleep.
But, I did lay there under the soft, cool sheets in the silence of our room.
I enjoyed every moment of it!
Then, I got breakfast in bed and a cool book from the boys, and a Bible from Lily.
When I got downstairs, I was shocked to see that Willie bought me an embroidery machine!
Holy COW!!! This was such a great surprise. I am certainly going in business now!!
The rest of the day consisted of naps and pajamas for me! I took a shower after dinner and simply switched from one set of pajamas to another! What a day!!
I feel so very appreciated for doing a job that I love...99.5% of the time! ;0)
