From The Dallas Morning News:
Eyre could help out:
Willie Eyre made his second appearance for Oklahoma City on Monday night, taking another step in what could be a return to the Texas bullpen. Eyre started the season on the 15-day disabled list with tightness in his right groin.
Eyre threw 20 pitches against Nashville, going an inning while giving up a hit, walking a batter and striking out one.
Washington said a healthy Eyre would have opened the season in Arlington. He also would give the Rangers an eighth-inning, right-handed option in the bullpen. C.J. Wilson and Eddie Guardado, the two most experienced set-up men, are both lefties.
