I have had some requests for Willie updates and I have fallen behind on those it seems!!

So, Willie pitched yesterday. He has been bothered by a little forearm muscle tightness so he was delayed a day in pitching. Of course, the media reports say he was "shut-down", the term for not pitching for awhile. Ahhhh, the media!! It was a one day delay people!! ;0)

Anyhow, his inning yesterday did not go like he would have hoped. He gave up a hit, a walk, then got the next 2 guys out. The next hitter got on base due to an error by the 3rd baseman so an unearned run scored. Then he got the next guy out.

So, not what he wanted but his arm felt good. AND..if that is the worst outing of his spring...We will take it and run with it!!

So, today is the big day in terms of how his arm feels. He will be home in a couple of hours and can give me an update on that!

Another question I have been hearing: How long is he at the field during spring training?

He leaves home around 7:45 every morning. On game days that he doesn't pitch, he gets home around 3. On days he pitches, he gets home around 5.

Okay, well it is 1:45 p.m. here and I am enjoying Dr. Phil. All 3 kids are napping and though I should be productive..I am enjoying my only downtime of the day!!
